Growing up
You are so 'awake' now. Interested in things, trying to hold stuff, following us with your eyes and you enjoy sitting and trying to stand. About a third of my height already, we marked it in the bookcase :)

Gold class
Off to gold class today but I ended up on my own as Trav is unwell. Ended up with a crazy lady next to me who had issues operating her chair button- the plus being they refunded Travs ticket! Picked up a pizza on the way home for everyone.
Granny babysat whilst Trav slept. A cute piccie she took. Lots of chatting lately and you have almost mastered sticking out your tongue.
Lunching
Lunch with the lovely girls from work today. You are such a well behaved little bear. Happy smiles on arrival but then happy to sleep while I have a burger. Dropped by the office after- passed around to everyone. Hanging out with my boss below.

Pressies and sleeping
Love morning cuddles, you are so content!
Went on an outing for vacuum bags and to spend our pumpkin patch voucher from Maggie today. Bought you super cute overalls, fun to pick something myself! You have been spoilt by all the family and friends so far. Sweet package from mid and mike arrived with this cute outfit.
Trying to move you to a sleeping bag as it is about time to move you to the cot (still to build!). Not so keen thus far so it was a looong day today.

A big day
Visited the bakers babies. John 3 months, Oliver 4 months, Louis 6 months.
Visited granny's work on the way home. Everyone loved you and you were very smiley! Lots of comments on how tall you are. We will be surprised if you don't grow up tall like your daddy.
Cot delivered this afternoon. Will be fun putting that together on the weekend...
Sleepin in the back.
Have just had dinner with the Murphys. Auntie Franki has a spare change table- yay! Joseph says you are his best friend.

Swimming take 2
This was our second attempt at swimming. Cleverly left Wilma at home so one less to worry about, it was a calmer day, warm water and granny on hand for pics. This was the day before you turned 3 months- 10 march (after mum and dad had a date out to wolf creek 2, not suitable for you yet John ;). Oo, and we saw the big cruise ship, Queen Mary 2.
St Pats
Well master Murphy, your first St Patricks Day. Cruise day at home with mum then visit to granny's house for tea.
You are pretty tired in the evenings before we get you in bed, might move bed time forward, but you were well behaved at dinner (just screamed in the car).

Night in
Last night we had steak with truffle salt and a DVD (just got a blu ray player recently- so great, watched captain Phillips) for a fun Saturday night in. All the family- hanging out in the lounge. John sleepy after a big day out to burnside to visit grandad so asleep by 830.

John slept through his first election.
So did we.
The most uninspiring state election in many years.
Safe labour seat, but we head out anyway. The lib candidate does not look much older than John.
Easy to take democracy for granted in this lucky country.
Ice cream on the way home on the seafront was a highlight- watching the storm come in.

Boys night!
Mum said that you like to bop with your arms going wild.
Didn't know that you have such a serious approach to dance!

3 months old
3 months today. Officially the end of the 'fourth' trimester which makes me sad and happy- your reliance on me will only become less as you become stronger and develop new skills. I will miss your folded up crouched up pod mode, nuzzling in my neck, as your legs straighten out and your need for me to hold your head as your neck gets stronger. You love daddy sticking out his tongue, when I say 'miaow', watching tele and you are trying with all your might to roll over. Love you John x

Cot shopping
This is the one we bought! I can't believe that you will grow into it. Lots of research and the choice report before we made a purchase. Someone this precious needs looking after.

Finally sleeping on the other side of your head
You have an issue with a flat spot on your head- but you are finally taking to sleeping on the other side. Thank god, we were wondering what to do there for a little while. Long hair?
Wilma, Mando and Mum take time out while you are sleeping.
You almost take up the whole basinette. Good thing we ordered you a new bed yesterday.
A big day today, nana and Opa Tromp, Nanna and Pop Murphy (and Auntie Susie too) and ikea. Sleep well mate. Your first Adelaide Cup tomorrow.
Grannies
Chris and Trudy with mum and Glen for tea. Grannies sharing John through the night and he still goes to bed happily at 9 and sleeps through. Fingers crossed that continues!

Les Wilson's
Jo and the boys visited us whilst in town from France. Everyone loved you lil John! As usual with guests you were on your best behaviour. A good party baby.
At the office
Visited Dad at work for lunch at red fox today. You are super keen on looking at everything so not the easiest to feed.
12 weeks!
My gosh. We need to sort out a cot for John soon as he is 12 weeks old and 6.7kg - the bassinet is only for up to 8kg!
