Melt down
Crazy, shut the blinds so the neighbours don't call the cops, screaming tonight. A five minute nap in the pusher, then more screaming, now asleep in my arms. Mando on my lap and Wilma on the couch. Daddy will be in dinner duty I think!

Good thing we did CPR last week ...
Apparently you took on a little water mate- we'll get the hang of it;)
Once you had something to keep you focused, a blue ball and an orange starfish you were enjoying the games.
You were not such a big fan of the squirt feature of the starfish, and in true Port style ma tried to do a runner (she forgot to pay... Right...)

Fontenelle
We can see your heartbeat through your fontenelle, but not for much longer as it is closing. It is so cute to see your light downy hair move with your heartbeat.
Busy days
Out for lunch to a 'new' pasta place (everything is new to us as we are not cool anymore) with the work girls. Good to catch up on goss and hear that they miss me! Checked in for a feed and change at the good parents room in Rundle Place.

Best buds-to-be
The piccies say it all. Wilma has learnt JM is part of the family and so she carefully guards us whilst he is feeding or sitting on the bouncer. These two can't wait to get their hands/paws on each other. Just still introducing them slowly till John is a bit older.

Keeping warm in the woolly weather
Stayed inside all day today to keep out of the blustery winds and pouring rain. Daddy and u woke up during the night to the wind and rain but you slept right through!

Your castle.
Complete with a mote.
Not really- is intended to be a path so that you and mum can cross the yard.
Better at this than I thought I would be- goes to show 12 months of road works outside dad's work can pay off.
Have taken a few tips from the roadworkers.
Hope to finish next weekend- assuming that it does not hail like last night.
DRS ABCD
Little man, you did well today as mum and dad learned the ABCs of baby first aid.
Thanks to Granny Janet for coming at half time for a pick up.
Danger, response, send for help (s is a hard one!) airway, breathing, CPR and defibrillate (if you are 20kg).
Any lighter , and the defribrulator becomes just that. A lighter.

Overtime
Wowzas, earning my mummy wage the last couple of nights. Super unsettled from your vaccinations. Lots and lots of tears just now, I can hear your poor tummy grumbling- it is playing havoc with your system. This morning you came for a cuddle in bed and crashed out- first time you've ever done that. It's usually to exciting playing with our hoodie drawstrings and practicing nursery rhymes.

Pudginess
Scrunchy dimply hands. Folded up legs, stubby little feet with toes that continually curl in and out. Inquisitive trusting eyes. Rosy red cheeks. Screechy giggles and sad tears.
Sick day
After coming down with colds we are home sick Friday night pudg (dads out at a gentlemans club dinner) feeling sorry for ourselves.

Tick Oma and Opa
Out to celebrate Nanna and Opa's 60th wedding anniversary last night, on the same day as your 6 month-versary.

Happy half-birthday!
Our lil man 6 months today.
The fastest 6 months ever. Time with you goes so quick. I love that you give little cuddles now, you love smiling at me and daddy and desperately want to play with Wilma and Mando! Almost crawling now, you are ready to go go go. It's so exciting watching you grow and discover something new almost every day. These are very precious days for me and your daddy.

Uncle Jase' 40th.
You really struggled today little fella- cried all the way home, through the good cover band (a lot of Lorde, INXS which is popular right now).

An innocent pudg
Tucked up like an innocent little pudg- after I woke up to find you screaming, on your tummy, in the top corner of the cot.

I love my snugabunny
This arrived in the post this week. Getting me through witching hour and letting me have a shower.
Ikea-ing
You need a high chair! The solids thing going well so far (except hating the new poo). Went for a stroll around ikea whilst you slept, bought the cheapest ever high chair which was also on sale (wahoo!) and meatballs for the drive home.
