Younger kindy- day one

You officially started younger kindy yesterday. A bit of a shock at drop off when I had to sign you in the new room. A few years from mum.

You had a good day- pleased with the climbing equipment outside, and hanging out with some of your old toddler mates.

You were ready with your backpack (all contents over the floor) at pickup, wanting help to put it on and then 'home now mum'. It was a big day.

So handsome and grown up on your first day.

Thirty-Five

When I was a little boy, people who were 18 were adults, and over 30 'old'.

We are now 'old'. Thank you for your antics that let us live childhood all over again.

Mum had two cakes, a 16 person 'bee-sting' from the German Cake Shop, and a Freddo Ice Cream cake (mandatory ice cream cake at birthdays and any significant events like weddings etc.)

You had a lot of fun with your cousins Jack, Joey, Sebastian, Luca playing the with the balloons. You loved the lock up box that Nana Ingrid gave you. You wouldn't let it go.

Happy birthday Mum! The sparklers spell out 3 and 5.

Friyay

Playgroup Friday.
So into these magmatic building toys. The concentration is intense.
I made a Helicopter mum!
Next task- Picasso-ing up. You asked me to put on the painting cape and you were very good at putting the brushes back in the right pots. First time I have seen you paint something with such thought. A chicken apparently in the bottom part- reminisce of the chicken coup and chickens you were overlooking while painting!
Such a dude in your first real jeans and a cool hoodie from granny. Plus new toys from an expedition to west lakes in the afternoon.

So much to catch up on

Wow. You can talk.

We can ask how your day was and you will think about it and reply. At our visit to ikea yesterday you tried out the toddler beds and told me what you thought of them. You didn't mind this pink one.

You sing whole songs! With actions. Especially baby crocodile, twinkle twinkle, Octonauts theme song.

Daddy not feeling well this week, so you read the story to him. Cat here, little birdies, under here, lions etc.

And big cuddles and kisses on demand. Thanks for being a sweetheart.
