We have created a seat belt of sorts to try and keep you on your back, but something tells us that this will only be a bandaid solution.

Sleeping not crawling.
Little mate, you are getting more and more mobile. You showed off your skills today on the hospital floor with Max.

Crawling
Ok so yesterday and today you have pretty much got the whole crawl thing sorted! You can move forward about 4 or 5 crawls, transfer your weight well (sometimes falling over) and move your hands easily. Now I think you just have to get a bit more coordinated to keep it up.
It is super cute watching this new skill.
Growing teeth
So this is the teeth situation.
2 big ones at the bottom that you've had for ages. You now have one 'number 2' tooth on the top right side, the night before last your 2 top middle teeth came through and last night it looks like your left top number 2 almost pushed through! You are going to have a full set by 1 I'd say.
You have been making this strange clicky noise and realised this morning you are actually grinding your bottom teeth on the top one that came through. You take after your dad with that!
Sophie making her money's worth.

Playing blocks
Still working on crawling today- a few 'crawls' forward. We have been building block towers and knocking then down (well I build and you destroy ;).
Had a lovely cuddle and watched some abc for kids this afternoon. Wilma joined us on the couch, the sun filtered through the blinds into us and it reminded me how lucky I am to have these moments with you xx

Mum and dad's second wedding anniversary.
Such a huge year mate.
You are more intersted in your new rice cracker cuttlefish thingy.
Your little rat chompers are making lights work of stuff. Next to get your head around checking and swollowing.
Anniversary dinner at our local, Carmines. We walked you around the carpark a few times to settle you.
Any change to your food or sleep schedule and it's game on.
Hope you do not take too long to adjust on your first big trip on a plane!
Ps- mum always wanted a booth seat.

Do not let the dingo (or crazy lady) take my baby
Lunch with Nikki today and a slightly unhinged lady lingered for too long, fawning over JM whilst aunty Nikki gave you a cuddle.
Crazy lady- How old is he?
Mum- 6 months.
CL- Oh, do you to give him to me to hold and look after forever?
M- Um, no I'll keep him thanks.
CL- Ok. Well you better hold onto him really tight.
M- Nikki- don't let go of my baby!

Chitter chatter, high fives and many new skills
It looks like your vocab is extending- dada, dog, hi, cat and maybe mama. But most excitingly you have learnt how to high five. So very cute and you are so excited when we cheer you on. You can also recognise your name and turn when we call you.
We are working on crawling too. You managed to move one leg when up on your knees today- not long til you will be crawling proper!
Plus you have started a click click noise -
AND today blowing raspberries (whilst we were eating- not cool!).
A massive wonder week.

The last feed
Well it might have been this morning, or tomorrow, but we are pretty much finished breast feeding. After so many struggles at the start it was nice to make it so far. And I will miss our cuddles while feeding.
Manda's having a baby
A mini surprise shower for Manda yesterday. You slept through the whole thing pretty much! Another lil man/girl coming to play with you soon. Manda took our bassinet attachment for the pram- unfortunately you officially don't fit in it anymore!
Watch out Brad Pitt
We have a new leading man in town. Ready to take his first centre role- as long as the script only calls for chuckling, dada and dog.
Yesterday I was a bit unsure if you had mumbled your first word(s), but today they were clear as day. This morning when you looked at the bedroom door for dad (dada plays a silly peekaboo game with you in the mornings which is apparently hilarious :), this afternoon when granny was feeding you (dada again), and yesterday was 'dog' when Wilma was with you - that one is captured in video!

Quiet days
A nice couple of forced quiet days with dad's injury. All the babies made the most of it.

Gap payment??
Tired, but otherwise pretty good mate. GP opens at 830 so will try and get in there to get stitches- a 2cm wide hole through to my chin.
Sometimes I get bad cramping in my legs at night. I got out of bed as I usually do to stretch and looks like I had a vaso vagel and my chin and shoulder took the fall. Both are health things I deal with, but never at the same time.
As usual, you had the females (ambo) pining over you.
Wish I had a 'should have seen the other guy' but reality not as glamorous.

0.66 years (two thirds)
You were 8 months old yesterday. Playing with dad last night and he commented how you are now such an interesting cheeky little boy- you can giggle and play with us, you want to eat everything (although you can't quite manage lumpy food still!), your legs and arms are longer and straighter (not like the little pod you were for so long) and your hair is getting so long.
But luckily you can still fit curled up in one arm for cuddles on the couch and you still fall asleep with me stroking your forehead. Lucky cause I still love those bits!

Opportunity
The boot is not a place to practice your crawl buddy. Especially when I just want to change your nappy to get us to dinner!

Tanty time
Off to the library this morning, a gorgeous sunny morning and you had a ball. Everyone was impressed watching you show off how you can get on your knees.
Pilates after, then in the walk home...
The lifecycle recycle.
Auntie Manda (not to be confused with bro, Mando) and Uncle Pete are expecting, and lovely to see that your first bed will give another little person a chance to catch their first Zzzzzzz's.
Sweet dreams little Master or Missie Bartlett. JM.

Passport prep work
Out to get your passport sorted at west lakes. Photo done, it is very cute but you will are stuck with it for 5 years. Pretty sure you will look different at almost 6!
Always exciting in the parents room. With the mirror above the change table you spend the whole time rolling over trying to see your pretty lil face.
Childcare
We went to look at the child care centre at dad's work today. Bit of a shock when you first go to one. Hard to trust someone else with you. Out most treasured precious little guy. We scored it 3/5, based on the fact some stuff seems ok but there was just so much lino.
Popped into dad's work after and the ladies fawned over you. You had a super cute new outfit on- below. Padded knees to help you on your learning to crawl!
