Melt down

Crazy, shut the blinds so the neighbours don't call the cops, screaming tonight. A five minute nap in the pusher, then more screaming, now asleep in my arms. Mando on my lap and Wilma on the couch. Daddy will be in dinner duty I think!

Good thing we did CPR last week ...

Apparently you took on a little water mate- we'll get the hang of it;)

Once you had something to keep you focused, a blue ball and an orange starfish you were enjoying the games.

You were not such a big fan of the squirt feature of the starfish, and in true Port style ma tried to do a runner (she forgot to pay... Right...)

Next week we will try going under water. Again.

The very best place to be

Cuddly and warm whilst it pours with rain on a Sunday morning x

Fontenelle

We can see your heartbeat through your fontenelle, but not for much longer as it is closing. It is so cute to see your light downy hair move with your heartbeat.

Busy days

Out for lunch to a 'new' pasta place (everything is new to us as we are not cool anymore) with the work girls. Good to catch up on goss and hear that they miss me! Checked in for a feed and change at the good parents room in Rundle Place.
Sporting cool threads at baby bounce the next day. Nanna Trudy bought this jacket size 12-18 months and it fits you already!
Cuddles after busy days (and bath time- see dad's previous post!).

Thursday 26 June 2014

I got this one at Academic Board.

Thank you for putting life in to perspective little fella.

Enjoy your shower with ma!

Best buds-to-be

The piccies say it all. Wilma has learnt JM is part of the family and so she carefully guards us whilst he is feeding or sitting on the bouncer. These two can't wait to get their hands/paws on each other. Just still introducing them slowly till John is a bit older.
Gazing at each other :)
Keeping guard.

Entertaining JM style

Had your mates over today- 7 little babes rolling around. You were certainly doing a good job playing host (checking everyone's toys) whilst I got drinks :)

Keeping warm in the woolly weather

Stayed inside all day today to keep out of the blustery winds and pouring rain. Daddy and u woke up during the night to the wind and rain but you slept right through!
Lots of fun pulling off your socks today.

Sunday 22 June 2014

Your castle.

Complete with a mote.

Not really- is intended to be a path so that you and mum can cross the yard.

Better at this than I thought I would be- goes to show 12 months of road works outside dad's work can pay off.

Have taken a few tips from the roadworkers.

Hope to finish next weekend- assuming that it does not hail like last night.

You slept through it like a champ.

DRS ABCD

Little man, you did well today as mum and dad learned the ABCs of baby first aid.

Thanks to Granny Janet for coming at  half time for a pick up.

Your classmates, baby manikin through to adult.

Danger, response, send for help (s is a hard one!) airway, breathing, CPR and defibrillate (if you are 20kg).

Any lighter , and the defribrulator becomes just that. A lighter.

Overtime

Wowzas, earning my mummy wage the last couple of nights. Super unsettled from your vaccinations. Lots and lots of tears just now, I can hear your poor tummy grumbling- it is playing havoc with your system. This morning you came for a cuddle in bed and crashed out- first time you've ever done that. It's usually to exciting playing with our hoodie drawstrings and practicing nursery rhymes.
On a positive note though, you blitzed your 6 month developmental check today. Daddy came with us.
Alrighty- let's catch up on some sleep soon yeah?

Wednesday 18 June 2014

6 month shots

Time for your next lot of vaccinations. Poor pudgy, you hated it today.
Arrived happy and we played peekaboo.
Lots of tears after. Look at those wet eyelashes.
However, after a feed and mega long nap  you were pretty chipper and finally ate some solids again! Mixed some yoghurt in with the sweet potato- apparently a winner.

Tuesday 17 June 2014

Happy baby

Lots of happy baby poses today.
Oh and mum bought up big for you on the bonds sale.

Monday 16 June 2014

You be cute

Chasing the phone looking at your own cute face.
The finished product- crawling across mummy.

Sunday 15 June 2014

Lawning

Looking optimistic.

Finally we made the lawn.

Cuddles with a clean daddy after a long day. Thanks for being a 'good helper' pudg (adding to your cv, along with party pudg).

Saturday 14 June 2014

Saturday happenings

Finally a pic where we can see your lil teeth! Happy cuddles this morning.
Your coordination develops slowly every day- not sure when this started happening but you can hold a you in each hand now.
Happy to play in your pram today for awhile whilst daddy and I levelled firt in prep for the pallet of grass that arrived this morning. Nice and rugged up in the cold weather.

Friday 13 June 2014

Pudginess

Scrunchy dimply hands. Folded up legs, stubby little feet with toes that continually curl in and out. Inquisitive trusting eyes. Rosy red cheeks. Screechy giggles and sad tears.
Cuddly cuddly beautiful boy.

Sick day

After coming down with colds we are home sick Friday night pudg (dads out at a gentlemans club dinner) feeling sorry for ourselves.
This is what happens when mums group bring along babies with colds...

Thursday 12 June 2014

That's a no to zucchini

Yup- you spat it in my face. I will hide it in the sweet potato next time...

Tick Oma and Opa

Out to celebrate Nanna and Opa's 60th wedding anniversary last night, on the same day as your 6 month-versary.
You enjoyed giving everyone a smile after screaming the whole way there in the car. No one believes me you ever cry!

Tuesday 10 June 2014

Happy half-birthday!

Our lil man 6 months today.
The fastest 6 months ever. Time with you goes so quick. I love that you give little cuddles now, you love smiling at me and daddy and desperately want to play with Wilma and Mando! Almost crawling now, you are ready to go go go. It's so exciting watching you grow and discover something new almost every day. These are very precious days for me and your daddy.

Sunday 8 June 2014

Sleep-crawling

Caught you trying to wiggle your way up the bed at 5 this morning.
Actually practicing your bum-lifting, start-of-crawling manouvere.

Uncle Jase' 40th.

You really struggled today little fella- cried all the way home, through the good cover band (a lot of Lorde, INXS which is popular right now).

Saturday 7 June 2014

An innocent pudg

Tucked up like an innocent little pudg- after I woke up to find you screaming, on your tummy, in the top corner of the cot.
Alright buddy, quit the grinning. It's 3am.

Thursday 5 June 2014

Naps

Napping on the bus after a busy morning at baby bounce.
You are one cute pudg.

I love my snugabunny

This arrived in the post this week. Getting me through witching hour and letting me have a shower.
Good girl Wilma! She is learning (v slowly) some boundaries.

Ikea-ing

You need a high chair! The solids thing going well so far (except hating the new poo). Went for a stroll around ikea whilst you slept, bought the cheapest ever high chair which was also on sale (wahoo!) and meatballs for the drive home.
Also picked up a cute towel for you, some doormats, paper for Cats boys and textas- just cause they were $2.95 and cute. Hmm the curse of ikea :)
***Update: I managed to put together your chair without dad so we had solids first time in it! Winning! Or not?!

Mums group

Had our last day at CaFHS mums group yesterday. Ella's mum, Jo, took some gorgeous pics.
After not napping all morning you feel asleep in the car so I sat and ate icecream with a view whilst you slept.
More exploring as you work out how to get around. Yep, that's as far as you can go mate.
