Charleys low key birthday

Was great to have a quieter day at Craig and Kathleen's.

Happy 1 Charley.

Weekend hangs

First cubby. So much fun but tears when we took it down. More cubby mummy pwease!
Had a tea party, made toast and all had naps in the cubby. You are great with imaginative play already.
Off to try backpack walking for the first time. Excited to be the koala. Made it to the beach for a walk and back. Training up for our flinders trip.
Grandad came to hang out with you in the afternoon while we went to the movies. Very "lucky boy" -playground, ice cream, pinwheel, bracelet and then chicken and chips.

Zoo with friends

Gorgeous boy.
Panda was in great form- out scratching and playing with his ball.
Hi pandas!
Getting into climbing.
Not! Not into bouncing but fun hanging out with maddie and Tammie.

Musical babe

You picked your 'drum' as your car toy. We struggled getting out of the door for awhile but now you are quite excited about going out as it is most usually fun.
Expedition to semaphore road and we shared a pie and milkshake at the bakery. You were very good and saying mummy share when it was my turn to have some milkshake.

Road Rage

As we searched for the Meerkat garden gnome that didn't exist, you tried our your shopping legs.

I think you got the hang of it.

Take me to your Meeekats.
C'mon Daddy, keep up.
Charge!!!!

Jacks birthday extravaganza

Jack turned one in December but he only just had his party on the weekend as they were sick.

So much fun- balloons, face painting, jumping castle and lots of party food!

Big boy sitting with the great grandparents.
So impressed by the caterpillar balloons. There was also a balloon artist. Unfortunately she wasn't great at meerkats which was your choice. When I asked you had you said 'hmmm- tiger?'.
Caterpillars...
Lollies!
Balloon art.

After all the party food you were full and happy with ice. What a treat! Dadad taught you how to swirl your glass which sometimes you got and sometimes you wobbled your head.
Trying to get you to sleep. Boots please mum. Perfect 35 degree outfit.

The week

Sunday.
First time sotos in the medium strip. Hippy semaphore tradition.
Tuesday.
Hanging out with your mate Ella. With an average of something crazy like 10 tantrums an hour for toddlers there is a lot of tantrum time but then some gold moments. Sad to say goodbye to each other and you have Ella a big hug.
Discovered corn on the cob. No corn left when you were done with this!
Thursday.
Cheers! Sitting on a big boy chair for awhile doing a great job after no naps at Childcare this week.
You asked for grandad and diamonds 'hands' to walk out of the restaurant.
Asleep before we got to west terrace and only drank half your bottle.
Yay- it's Friday!
Must be a day for boots- seeing as it is 31 with heavy humidity. Crazy boy.

Beach day

A day at the beach for Pat's 2nd annual beach bash.
Photo bomb.
Happily playing in the 'puddles' with uncle sash. We had a small meltdown when we got to the beach but then you were so happy splashing around.
Stayed a bit late and you were so tired by the time you got to nap. Woke up after an hour then feel asleep on me again. First time in ages- still the best place to sleep. And you slept another hour and a half.
Daddy and the boys stayed too late and got lots of sunburn ;)

Later in the week

Sandpit time!
Milk and crackers on the way home. The temptation of this draws you out of Childcare without a tantrum.
Out to tea for Pats birthday with Tony Tomatoes. Lots of arancini balls for you.
In pjs for the drive home. Milk and you are asleep- if only it was this easy at home at the moment.
Playground time early Friday with James. He scared the bejeezus out of you when he was playing a 'screaming' game but apologised nicely.
Snack time- great sharing. On the walk home you kept wanting to hold hands and we had to have the pushers super close.

Wednesday 13 January 2016

38 degrees again

Playground with your homies before it got too hot. Funny boys you lot.
Keeping cool at home with a turn on the water table and then running around it wet clothes. And with your wet drowned rat Michael hutchence pony.
It's hard to imagine these chubby features will harden up. Everything on you is still so soft at the moment- to touch and look at.

Weekend- Costco and swimming

Costco tastings. Finally some peace after a tantrum in which you refused to walk or sit in the pusher- only be carried by dad.
38 on Sunday and we met granny at the burnside pool. You've not been keen on water this summer as you have a bit of fear now.
When we arrived you were crying having your shoes taken off cause you didn't want to go near the water. After some gentle coaxing you loved it. We even all walked together the whole length of the toddler pool- up to .4 deep. And then we had to avoid tears when leaving!
Lovely afternoon in the shade keeping cool. And a shower with mums help instead of a bath when we got home- big boy!
