Chatterbox

Yesterday aunty cat and Sebastian looked after you in the morning. You said 'bashen' and on the walk to Pilates 'babbit not hungry' (when you tried to feed your bunny).

This afternoon we went for a walk and you said so many words- tree, car, truck, plane, house, see saw, top (of the slide), lots of 'yeahs' to my questions, yellow (to the sour sobs), bikes.

Bel was also very impressed by your 'baby baby' pointing at the little ones at Max's party.

You are getting to be a chatterbox!

Baby Max turns one

Baby max had his first birthday party today. You've been all 'baby max' looking at the invite for a couple of weeks.
You managed to carry Max's pressie all the way into the mansion house and proudly passes it to Manda.
You played big boys Lego with some of the bray kids, had a jam on the baby grand and ate lots of cake. So got a bit crazy so then we went ;)
Blue eyed babes. Such good sitting on a big chair!
Running game in the grass. Touch the fence and run back!
Home time cool dude.

Yes, that all looks good to me!

Happy 3rd anniversary mum and dad

A great weekend of anniversary fun.

It's not as easy as it used to be to take you to a restaurant, but your knuckle 'bump' around the room wins you friends.
Anniversary eve dinner at Jamie's.
You loved the arancini and polenta chips. Next time we'll just order stacks of them.
Changing you in the train station toilets after movenpick. Dadad kindly laid his jumper on the change table for you.

Twinkle twinkle

You are getting so much more interactive with your music.

Toot toot.

Moo moo (Ol' McDonald).

Nic (picnic).

Wooahh (hokey pokey).

Baah baah (black sheep).

Now he's getting his arms in on it.

Cos we all know frogs go la-de-da (hands wave).

Twinkle twinkle here today.

Love the glitter fingers mate.

Play school!

Play School with Teo and Rachel was a lot of fun.

Teo was worried that you were traumatised. Your first brush with fame.

Independent chook.

A quiet week

A nice week, happy at child care and happy with granny.
In your new fav jacket out with granny and the Harris'.
Silly buggers at home with mum- chasing you under the table x

Book month

Book month child care. This morning we went for a visit to read your favourite books and donate one.
You were a bit put out at first, being at child care on a Tuesday but settled down and enjoyed it. Then cried when it was time to go.
We took alpha block and the Eric carle book with the fluffy animals. The current favs.
You were a bit thrown out by today and did not sleep AT ALL! First time ever. Very sound asleep at 630. Still managed a fun day.

Teddy pease

And sold to the polite bub!

At the cute semaphore gift shop on Sunday looking for gifts for daddy and you kept saying daddy daddy. I'm like yeah mate, looking for daddy. Then I see you are pointing up to the teddies! Teddy teddy! And then you said, peeease. So you got it! First time you have asked for something by name in a store- and with a please.

Anyways stripey ted is gorgeous and kept you very happy in the walk home.

Now be prepared for mum to start saying no. But I couldn't resist your first request x

Stripey fitting in at home- here you are setting him up for snack time.

Snotty noses

A week of snotty noses all round.

Have fun with Granny today. She was most impressed by you asking Wilma to shake hands, sit, and I think drop.

Play group. A bruise and a tantrum

First play group today! They hold one Friday mornings at our local kindy so good to meet some parents and kids from the area. Although people weren't super chatty.

Anyways you loved it. Many little dinosaurs collected, trips made on the balance beam, sandpit digging and looking at little chicks. There was an ambulance to look at too.

And then you got more adventurous. Climbed up some steps, forgot what you were doing and just fell down them- I caught you mid fall but still a little bump. Had lots of turns on the slide once you negotiated the best way to get up the steps (part crawl).

Popped inside and sat quietly playing with the dinosaurs and animals again.

Then we had a tantrum trying to get you in the pusher to go home. Frowns and a bump.

We will still go back :)

On the train

You are so over sitting in the train, now you stand like all the grown ups.

Enjoy being able to relieive yourself on the train while you still can (and get away with it).

This seems to be your new little corner.

Nothing to see here guys. Smell on the other hand...

Out of the teens

20 months old today.

We've had a fun day. No car so made the trek along a very windy beach (apparently there was a wind warning) to semaphore and bussed it home.

A quiet afternoon listening to the rain. Watching a dodgy cars DVD (well for about 20mins), eating toasted honey crumpets.

Lots of words at the moment- new ones everyday. Lots of cuddles when we change your nappy, you just want to lean on us and cuddle rather than getting your pants on! You have started, finally and occasionally, helping muma to pack up blocks and toys.

You can now also pick the right buttons on the fisher price 'faux' iPad. When we ask you to find the apple you say 'abble'.

Catalogues and dogs

A lot of value out of this one- this is his third catalogue. Has been known to read with Grandad for over an hour.

Could have used this last night on the train- mum needed to work at event in Goodwood so it was me and you (and Aintie Cat) at the office for the last hour. That was tricky!

Wilma was not too phased by being jumped all over.

Seafood on the train home.
Wilma refused to give up her prime couch spot.

Spoilt by granny

An early birthday present from the big target toy sale!
Out with granny on your Monday exploring. Enjoying your water bottle holder.

Sleeping

You have been sleeping well in your new room. Not really waking much (touch wood) and even sleeping past 5 :)
You are also still a good sleeper in the car- either for your day nap, or we can get you ready for bed when we are out at tea, and then you will sleep in the car and transfer easily to the cot. Still so cute watching you sleep!

We have just got home from uncle Ryan's birthday and did this- plus we were out with grandad and Di for burgers last night, and daddy's wine friends at t-chow the night before. Thanks baby.
