Green Thumbs

And a brown backside.

We wish you had the same knack for pulling out weeds as you do for plants.

Clearly not afraid of getting dirty. Good for you!

Cool uncle Josh

Your coolest uncle left us today.
Not a mad kids fan but you softened him. Specially cause of your cool kicks.

Deconstructed sandwich

Following in the footsteps of fancy chefs you deconstructed your sandwich today.
I specially bought white bread this morning to try and make a very soft sandwich- your first sandwich!!
You just pulled out the turkey and cheese.
Cheeky boy x

At childcare

Such a happy boy at childcare. Today you didn't pay any attention to me when I dropped you off, and when I picked you up.

Running around.
Down the slide by yourself now!
Music wall. Walking around with the ladle is the best.

Today you slept for 1.5hours on the mattress. This is one of the first transitions toward the toddler room.

Patches and scratches

Allergy doctor today was a real test for you. Good thing the baby doc has a room full of toys. In your usual way, you were more interested by the adult toys though- power points, test epi pens, filing and step ladders.

You tested positive for egg, avocado, a little for wheat. We look forward to discussing this with you when you make more sense of words and feelings.

You have also showed a deft hand for nodding when something is yummy, and handing back the spoon to the front seat of the car for more ice cream.

Your dexterity is amazing when there is food on offer.

You are a Murphy.

Saturday night out

A run around the playground at Largs- you have started to rock back and forth.
Beautiful sunset.
Dinner at the Palais- in the bar because the restaurant was booked out.

Winter on the beach

Cold cloudy morning on the beach.
Red texta in the face from drawing with dad in the morning.

Fetch!

Big learning curve mate. You can now fetch things, and pass them between us all.

You are starting to answer with yes and no, and we think you said 'car'.  Can't be sure though!

You are loving white rice, and Willy loves it when you drop it to her off the table.

Take the bottle to mum.
Bring it back.

At largs

A walk to the playground for a play and ice cream.
Rugged up in the winter sun.
Kids cone. Happily shares with mum but loves getting the cone to himself. Today when I asked if it was yummy, you very clearly agreed it was with nodding and 'Ah ah' noises.
Happy to hand some cone out to the seagulls. I showed you how this worked once and then you were keen to feed them!

Big boy

Great day at childcare. Loads of smiles and laughs- Robyn and Dona talked about how fun you were. Giggle pot running around when I got there, I barely get a cuddle and you're off again!
You are looking so big in your cot now. When we first bought it you were so teeny I thought it would swallow you up.
New pjs from the Melbourne trip- uniqlo.

Days at home

Hiding in the corner. Must be toilet time.

A big sleep in this morning so we didn't get you to nap til 230. Lots of crying from being overtired, finally you slept in my arms for an hour and half.

Saturday 16 May 2015

2 hats for 2 parties and a baptism.

Uncle Ed and Penny had their 'silly hat' party at the pub- you made friends with Hamish and shared cars, books, and tried to put your hand in everyone's drink.

Second party, second hat, was for Auntie Cat's big 40th.  Looking tired already, thanks for putting up with the party hat.

Nuggets and soft serve at Nordburger, playing with Sebastian and Luca and their mates William and Angus too.

A big weekend with Jack's christening tomorrow! Hang in there buddy.

At the church- a few noises from you but nothing compared to the other kids!
Playing with dad's watch on the floor. The baptism went a bit long for you.

The Murphy aunties clucking away. Jack is such a tiny little guy in comparison to you. He'll catch you up.

With Uncle Ryan at the end of a long day. You did well mate, and you slept in this morning after a huge effort. See you tonight after work.

Friday 15 May 2015

Chopsticks.

Out to cheap and cheerful Chinese with Dads Uni work buddies, including Craig and Kathleen's little lady Charlie.

You got stuck in to steamed rice, and enjoyed the Bean Curd Casserole too. You were not so keen on dim sum though.

Someone at childcare had a go at your face. Perhaps it was your little ladyfriend, Charlotte, playing rough.

Tired as a tiger in Chinatown.

Roarrrrrrrrr!!!!

You often put your hand out to be kissed when feeding, or when we are helping you get to sleep.

Somebody has a new jumpsuit- we all roared together.

You are getting big. Glimpses of a little boy in there, and your interactions are starting to mirror ours.

You are becoming a real social creature.

Had better get that swear jar system in place before it's too late.

Dinosaur eats toast too

You decided the dinosaur was hungry at breakfast today. You tried to put the food in his mouth...
You were a happy boy this morning after a sleep in til 8. I didn't get a sleep in though as you slept in my arms, pushing me off the side of the bed from 5.30. Lovely warm soft cuddles though.

Tuesday 12 May 2015

New shoes and blowing kisses

Yesterday you blew granny a kiss goodbye. First time you've done that- completely unexpected!

Today we went to Ollie Ashendon for your second pair of shoes. You were so well behaved and got a stamp on each hand for doing well. Which you then licked off in the car ride home.
Went for a walk on sem rd and found you an apple and custard muffin!
Peek a boo in the carrier.

Sunday 10 May 2015

Mothers Day.

Pressies and a mini sleep in to 715!

Off to the park with mum in the afternoon. Dare devil!! You have just started climbing this week- step stools no longer safe .

On the slide together.
Rugged up for home.

Tuesday 5 May 2015

Happy days

A sleep in to 730 makes you a happy chappy in the morning!

All that cheeky energy equalled this...
Baby risoni everywhere! You've been attempting to pull that down for awhile.

Shopping at ikea this afternoon. We shared a chocolate mousse.
