Grandparent time

Hanging out at granny's on the weekend whilst we went of to gold class (mums expensive washing machine still paying off). Lots of fun but no nap, you have to start napping for other people JM!

Grandad over for tea last night- the first time he's seen you in about 8 weeks after us all having holidays. You are a much more active lil man now and as Di said 'very busy'.

Sleeping

As you are rocked to sleep, your little eyes shut ever so slowly. Not just, bam, they're shut. They lower lower lower until they close gently. Completely relaxed.

So gorgeous to watch.

Recovery time

It's been quiet here as JM and daddy recover from all their various bugs/injuries.

First time out of the house in awhile for Pilates. Valencia pulled your hair but you are a tough nut, no worries.

Quiet days

We have had some quiet days at home trying to help you recover from this bugger of a virus. You are pretty high spirited, but the washing machine, shower, bath etc are all getting workouts due to your poor upset tum.

Back to emergency...

Virus hits you pretty hard little guy- slow movements, lost your smile, and hard to get comfy. Pale, exhausted and hungry. 

Hope you feel better soon (mum can only wash your clothes, and hers, so often!).

Big boy

We have now lowered your cot- you got too mobile on the trip away for it to be on the upper level. You had an extra 2 weeks in your travel cot- I think you like playing the 'bowling pin' game in there where you just throw your self around and bounce off the sides. Yup- can't do that in the proper cot though... It hurts as you are discovering.

You look so little again with the big sides on here now. Hard work to put you in now you are insisting on being rocked to sleep. I do like the extra cuddles. 

You are also getting interested in some big boy toys. The blocks are fun. So fast we just at pull them out of the bag and bang them. Am trying to get you to see the fun in putting them back :)

I heart washing

You poor poppet. Our first bout of gastro, or something else that makes lots of spew. 

We have had lots of tears but you still make a smile for the doc. If you didn't spew all over me in the waiting room I'm sure they wouldn't have believed you were ill.

4 changes of clothes each and 3 sets if fresh bedding in about 8 hours. Today you seemed a bit better but just had a massive spew in the car seat. Plus a new tooth popped through overnight. Gosh when it rains it poors.

Ps had swimming in Saturday morning again. You did well but a bit unsure after a long break. Is this another swimming bug? Not looking forward to child care!

The Cup

Watched the Melbourne Cup together and mum mum made 50 cents on her horse bet! All gone on buying me new toys from ikea this afternoon.

Fish and chips

Picnic in the backyard, reuniting with your mates Sebastian and Luca and having a taste of some 'Heston style' chips courtesy of Cat. Lots of fun in the high chair later showing off your clapping and banging skills.

Saw your Murphy great grandparents today too. Pop would like a smile on arrival but you have become a bit shy lately so you take a little while to warm up to new visitors.
