Lemons at the station

You are loving lemons right now- thanks Granny;)

You 'oh-oh'd' before you dropped it off the platform and it rolled on to the tracks.

On the train we stayed busy making shapes out of baby bel wax cheese wrappers.

When that ceased keeping you busy, you took a shining to my torch. Literally.

Boys toys

Watching the digger out the back do the retaining wall.

Riding my own truck (after filling it with lemons and dumping them a zillion times).

Just changed your walker to a little car. Loving it.

Out for fresh air and you went down the big slide at the park on your own (tummy down face up)! And picked out which rides you wanted- see saw, other seat on the see saw, swing, see saw again, horsey, slides. You are already attempting the ladder up to the slides, this has really spaced out rungs, and you can walk on the wavy platform. Clever clogs!

Shared an ice cream before home.

Feed some cone to the seagulls to make them all come. You were amazed at so many birds at once!

Fun busy day.

Winter on the beach

Exploring the beach on a cloudy windy afternoon.

Getting your balance on uneven surfaces.

We looked and pointed at the birds and the sky.

Making the most of our last day in Melb.

Bought Joey a birthday pressie while mum checked out H&M.

You ripped through a bento box for lunch, inc Miso.

Checking out the fancy parents room.

Tram to the Zoo was a little zany, a strange man was pulling faces at you. I think you made his day, don't have nightmares.

Feeding the Penguins at Melb Zoo.

The Lemur enclosure is free range/ they walk right up to you.

The monkeys were your favourite.

Walking!

Forward facing meant you saw a whole lot more. You were really in to the apes, and walking on the boardwalk.

100th Anzac Day- all those poppies are hand knitted and made in to a quilt. An amazing sight in Federation Square.

St Kilda

Caught the 16 tram to St Kilda today to catch up with your cousins Alex, April, Nathan, and Wolf.

A very hipster cafe for lunch just off the beach- a dog came in off the street to eat the bits of meatballs and chips that you dropped. All seemed normal.

Headed to the botanic garden park, and then Acland St for some very nice cake. You enjoyed your gingerbread. The store has been there so long they renamed the street next to it.

Tasty meatballs, said the stray dog.

Cousin Alex showing you how it's done.

You are getting more and more courageous on the playground.

Best cake at Monarch. Great to catch up with everyone.

Dinner at the Mitre Tavern- the oldest building in Melbourne- v British.

In the Melbourne hotel

Williamstown with Nanna and Vicki.

Met Nanna Moskos for the first time today, and your great Auntie Vicki too. They were smitten.

We ate burgers and pizza at the Atomic Bar- and you had your first calamari. So so.

The park on the Bay was a good adventure for you- you prefer to go down the slippery dip backwards. You have well and truly mastered stairs.

Cloudy weather over Melbourne, but the sun stayed out for us.

Slowest and noisiest ferry in history. You slept like a log until Williamstown.

Dad has 'selfie stick' arms, says Mum.

Look at the camera mate!

And you've mastered the swing- but that swinging frog caused you some grief!

A big couple of days.

Cousin Charlotte.

Caught the train to Cranbourne to meet Auntie Wendy, Emma and cousin Charlotte half way to Korumburra.

Schnitzels are big here. So is frozen yoghurt. Dad dad guessed the weight to within a gram twice, and was 5 grams off of guessing Wendy's too.

They were most impressed by my human  scales ability.

You learn quickly from older kids- wanting to climb, slide, and see-saw with Charlotte.

A lovely day in the outer outer burbs of Melbourne.

Aquarium

Had a great day at the Melbourne Aquarium- you were apprehensive at first, but then amazed.

Sebastian was right, it is a great place to visit!

Sunday 19 April 2015

You prefer the long haul.

Flight to Melbourne to see Nan was like trying to console a hysterical octopus. You are much bigger now, domestic flight room much less, and you were not having anything of the quicker ups and downs of a smaller aircraft. You did like the chocolate and candy banana though.

On the SkyBus now heading past familiar exits.  Hope you like Melb buddy!!
